On July 12th, a very special day took place in Alytus – the Gerulis Labrador Retriever kennel family meeting, where as many as 17 dogs from our kennel gathered together with their loving families.
We met in the center of Alytus and set off on a cheerful walk through the city park toward Lake Dailidėlis. The sun was shining warmly, and the happy Labradors enjoyed exploring the surroundings with their owners. Of course, some of the four-legged adventurers could not resist the water and happily tested the lake’s waves. 🤩
Our route continued through the Fairy Tale Park, where the trees seemed to whisper quiet summer stories while the dogs spread their joyful energy all around.
We attracted a lot of attention in Alytus Town Hall Square. So many beautiful Labradors in one place truly caught the attention of passers-by – people stopped, smiled, took photos and asked about our dogs. Even cars slowed down, and passengers looked curiously out of the windows. It felt as if the whole city paused for a moment to admire our four-legged parade. 🐾✨
After the walk, everyone headed to the Gerulis kennel, where a real paradise for dogs and their families was waiting:
🐾 fun games for the dogs
🏆 friendly competitions and prizes
🌊 swimming for the water lovers
🍰 a picnic and treats
💬 lots of warm conversations, laughter and joyful moments
For us as breeders, moments like these are truly special – seeing the Labrador Retrievers bred in our kennel grown up, happy and loved by their families. It is the greatest reward for the care and dedication we put into our work.
These gatherings are gradually becoming a beautiful Gerulis kennel tradition. Every year we try to bring together the dogs bred in our kennel and their families so that we can meet again, share experiences and spend time with people who share the same love for Labradors. It is wonderful to see how the Gerulis kennel Labrador family continues to grow.
We sincerely thank everyone who came and helped create this wonderful day. We believe everyone went home with warm memories in their hearts, while the dogs – tired but happy – were already sleeping sweetly on the way home. 🐶💤🚗
